You chose to go around the mountain
Taking the longer, but undeniably fast route, you begin the long curve around the mountain. There is nothing particularly spectacular about this route other than its lack of curves and consistent fast pace. This is the route that non-tourists take, people that just want to get where they’re going and get there fast. After having conquered several hours of driving thus far, you too just want to get home.
As you speed around the mountain, you see a flat piece of cardboard in the middle of your lane up ahead. Do you drive over the cardboard or swerve around it?
