The Best Glass Cleaner Out There
There are numerous products on the market for cleaning glass. Each one has a unique characteristic of its own, but very few can boast the to be the best there is. Now I can’t tell you which glass cleaner is the definitive best, that’s purely opinion based, but I sure will try.
Popular Brands?
Now you have some options in the store when purchasing a glass cleaner. There are the various brands of the blue liquid spray solution, wipes that are infused with cleaning chemicals, and several versions of foam spray cleaners.
Knowing you, your first instinct is to go with the popular brand Windex, or its store equivalent. Typically, these do the job they’re assigned to without much of a fuss.
However, there are some downsides to these types of cleaners. Most of them contain ammonia, a common household chemical, mixed with rubbing alcohol, soap, water, and a drop or two of cheap dye.
This might sound too simple but this is what your average glass cleaner has in it. Although this type of cleaner does the job, it leaves streaks on the glass you just cleaned and should never be used on window tint or films.
Pre-Soaked Cleaning Clothes
What about wipes and clothes? Should you just pay the extra money for the wipes then? Absolutely not. They are identical to what’s in the bottle and far more wasteful. Only get them if your absolutely need a compact glass cleaning solution.
**Clorox disinfecting wipes are different and shouldn’t be used to clean windows**
No. Don’t waste your money and don’t buy products you know don’t clean as well. But fear not! I happen to have a suggestion on what you should buy.

The Best Class Cleaner
Alright, with that out of the way, the best glass cleaner out there is Sprayways’ ammonia free, streak free, glass cleaner. It comes in a 19 oz aerosol can and comes out as a white foam spray.
It’s Environmental Friendly
If you’re concerned about the environment (which you should be), with it being an aerosol can, you need not worry. The cleaner includes no CFCs, the can is made of 33% recycled steel, the cap and spray tip are recyclable, and the shipping box is made of 37% recycled material. Now that’s way more than what most popular glass products can claim.
They’re Charitable
In addition to their flawless ability to clean glass to streak-less perfection, the people of Sprayway support breast cancer research by donating from a purchase of their product.
The Variety and Availability!
Sprayway isn’t a single product company either. They offer a variety of cleaning sprays that all do marvelous jobs at cleaning. Right now, their class cleaner is available at Costco and I would recommend dropping buy to pick up a four pack. They will last you quite a while and are a great deal.
It’s Still Your Choice
You can go out and make your own decision on how to clean your windows. Know this though, when your windows are all streaky after you clean them, don’t say I didn’t warn you. Because I did…in an entire article.
Thanks for for reading and have a clear, streak free week.

Hi, I was just talking to my friend about this! My dad used to use dish soap and newspaper for his car windows. Is that even a thing any more?
Thanks for this. There are too many choices on glass cleaners these days!

It is still a thing – another fun way is to use water and a micro fiber cloth!
