You chose to drive over the cardboard.
With little concern, you drive over the cardboard. Nothing happens and you carry on your way. No more than 20 seconds later, you start to feel it. Your car is pulling to one side and there is the obvious sound of a flat tire.
With a deep sign of anguish, you pull over. Upon inspection, you see a large nail protruding from your tire. Seeing as your at least an hour outside of any civilization, you decide to change the tire yourself rather than call a service.
Quickly you look up how to change a tire on your phone and a handy little step-by-step article pops up! After no more than 15 minutes, the tire is changed, and you are on your way home.
